      • Solved major contamination problem on a reflective surface glass product resulting in a product price decrease of 17%. Developed a new technology for a manufacturing process step. This produced a 99% reduction in cycle time and the eradication of a defect caused by the old process.
        
      • Implemented a radically new operating philosophy for the melting department to solve a 14-year glass quality defect. Defects were reduced by 75% resulting in cost savings to the plant of $250M/yr.
        
      • Facilitated the development of a self-managed work team that achieved first place status for cleanliness and visual quality at Bausch & Lomb, earned Supplier of the Year status from GTE Sylvania/Winchester, and improved product quality by 50%. (Jan., 1989 - Jul., 1992).
